Polyester is a synthetic fibre and is an ideal choice for allergy sufferers. Polyester quilts are great for children as they are machine washable, with a cotton cover for added freshness. Polyester feels light and provides warmth without weight on your body. The treated filling in polyester quilts inhibits the growth of bacteria, mould and mildew providing a healthier night’s sleep.

Wool is a durable and natural fibre. Its natural properties regulate your body temperature while you sleep, keeping your sleeping environment comfortable all year round. It feels heavier than most fillings and provides a flat, neat appearance on the bed. It is ideal for people who like to feel snug in bed. Wool quilts may be dry cleaned and some may be machine washed.

Natural goose or duck down and feathers are the most luxurious quilts and are warm, extremely light and snugly. The higher the percentage of down in a quilt, the warmer and softer it will be. Feather and down quilts are designed to keep the filling of the quilt evenly in place. They should be shaken and aired regularly and can be dry cleaned.
